Tain and Fearn Free Church held a silent auction at the weekend in a local hotel to help raise funds for the renovation, expansion and modernisation of their Old Health Centre building.
The auction raised a total of £6500.
Tain and Fearn minister Rev Alasdair MacAulay said, “We have been absolutely amazed by the generosity of businesses in the town. We estimate that more than 80 percent of them gave us something for the auction.”
A large list of items was up for auction including a bathroom suite, an array of offers from local hotels and restaurants, a Ross County Season Ticket and violin lessons.
The entire project is expected to cost in the region of £1m and is estimated to take two to three years to complete. Once finished, the church hopes the facilities will be available to the whole community.
